Паклитаксел повышает концентрацию доксорубицина, паклитаксел и доцетаксел могут влиять на фармакокинетику эпирубицина. Эпирубицин считается менее кардиотоксичным чем доксорубицин. Токсичность (дозолимитирующий мукозит, кардиотоксичность и миелоткосичность) связана с порядком введения этих препаратов, и предложено несколько схем назначения для уменьшения токсических проявлений. проведенные исследования предлагают назначать антрациклины перед таксанами, хотя для оптимизации схем назначения требуется дальнейшее подверждение.
